Workmen’s Auto Insurance (WAIC) is a regional property & casualty insurance carrier with over 60 years of experience. Its main product line consists of providing auto insurance to individuals via their agent network of hundreds of producer’s across 12 states.

Despite being a leader in the P&C insurance marketplace, WAIC was facing an interesting challenge – both their new business and claims processes were all over the place. Producers and claim managers had to access multiple platforms to either sell or update a policy or fulfill a claim for any user.

A smooth model of webification

After an in-depth analysis it was clear to us that we needed to automate and web-enable mission critical processes that had a direct impact on Insurance agents and clients. A series of “black screens”, fax machines and multi-click processes were in the way of a smooth and simple quote, bind and print process for the business areas.

In addition to transitioning the sales process into a paperless environment, we also took a stab at the Claims department process and produced a web-based collaborative environment that allowed IA’s, adjusters, auditors and claim managers to converge in a single user friendly web portal.

Technology to streamline insurer’s workflow

After implementing the application, WAIC’s producers were able to provide real-time quotes and make changes on the spot with a couple of clicks. In addition to policy maintenance and support, the application has a live connection with the client’s legacy back-end platform and allowed real-time rating, automation of underwriting rules and guidelines, online payment processing and ACORD form integration.

A centralized claims management platform

The Claims management platform centralizes and manages the entire claims process onto a single, user friendly, multi-level platform that is available real-time 24/7. The implemented solution enabled a smooth and transparent workflow and allowed multiple parties to collaborate in a single platform – IA’s, adjusters, auditors and claim managers. This in turn allowed WAIC to provide shorter client response times and empower their staff.
